App Design for Founders & Non-Designers

You don't need design skills to get a well-designed app. We turn your idea into real, designed screens through a collaborative process built for founders and subject-matter experts.

A process that meets you where you are

You know your users, your business, and the problem you're solving. What you may not have is the vocabulary of design, the tooling, or the time to learn either. That's fine. Our job is to pull the product that's already in your head into something concrete you can react to.

We do the translating. You describe the goal in plain language, we turn it into flows and screens, and you tell us what's right and wrong. No design jargon required to participate.

  • A kickoff conversation about your users, goals, and the core job the app does
  • Rough flows and low-fidelity screens first, so we agree on structure before polish
  • Plain-language feedback rounds where you react to real screens, not abstract theory
  • We translate your notes into design decisions, so you don't have to speak in design terms
  • Clear checkpoints so you always know what's decided and what's next

From idea to buildable screens

By the end you have more than pretty pictures. You have a coherent set of screens, states, and flows that a development team can build, plus the reasoning behind the choices so decisions don't unravel later.

If you're pre-development, this becomes the blueprint that keeps engineering focused. If you already have developers, it gives them something unambiguous to build against.

  • A complete, navigable set of primary screens and key states
  • Consistent components so the app feels like one product, not a patchwork
  • Notes on interactions and edge cases so the intent survives handoff
  • Assets and specs ready for whoever builds it, in-house or external

Frequently asked questions

I can barely describe what I want. Is that a problem?

No. Most founders start there. Our process is built around asking the right questions and showing you options to react to. You'll find it's much easier to say 'that's wrong, here's why' than to specify a design from a blank page.

Do I need to have my branding or colors figured out first?

It helps but isn't required. We can work from existing branding or establish a simple, clean visual direction as part of the process and refine it later.

Will I be able to explain the design to investors or developers afterward?

Yes. Part of the deliverable is the reasoning behind the flows, so you can walk anyone through why the app works the way it does, not just how it looks.
